To these ends, VCDA:
- Informs the general public
- Advocates for public and private resources that strengthen community development
- Provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and collaborative action
How We Do It
VCDA holds informative meetings four to six times a year at various locations around the state on issues identified by its members.
These include:
- Revolving Loan Funds
- Downtown Development and Sprawl
- Livable Wages and Job Training
- Brownfields
- Affordable housing options
- Quality employment opportunities
- Micro-enterprise development
- Agricultural viability
- Economic development and recovery
